I think I’ve always been a Graphic Designer. From an early age I made sense of the world by thinking visually. From slavishly copying characters and type from the Beano to drawing fantastical inventions, visual communication has been at the forefront of my mind. Of course I didn’t realise this at the time. It took many years to understand there was a job out there that suited my way of thinking. I’ve swapped the crayons for a computer and the Beano for brand guidelines, but the core of what I do – and why I enjoy it so much – hasn’t changed much at all.

My current role is Associate Creative Director at Stocks Taylor Benson, an award-winning agency with offices in Leicester and London.

Previously I worked at Shine Design, a multi-disciplined design studio based in London.  My role involved working with a mix of different clients, from large blue-chip companies to leading art galleries.

Before I joined Shine in 2014, I worked at Ball Design Consultancy in south west London. We specialised in design for print and branding for a number of clients, mainly in the education sector.

My first role was as in-house designer at the University of York where I cut my teeth for four years and became creative lead of the studio.
